The Story

The KA-BAR Modified Tanto is a new take on a classic blade design. Made with KA-BAR's famous 1095 Cro-Van steel., the 1266 has a Kraton G handle, a synthetic material that holds up in the elements. The Modified Tanto comes with a rugged glass-filled nylon sheath. Please note a rolling change has been made to the markings on the 1211 series of Fighting/Utility Knives. The "1211 USA" marking has been removed and you may receive a knife without this marking. Only the marking has changed, this is not a change to where or how these products are made. Knife is manufactured in the USA, sheath is manufactured in Taiwan.
