The Story
You have reached the Apex! The Apex was designed by Petr Janda, a longtime KA-BAR designer previously known for his FIN line of knives. Janda designed the Apex to be a slim, robust fixed blade capable of working in tight corners and confined space. The Apex is made with D2 steel and comes with a hard plastic sheath.
Features:
- Blade Material: Crafted from tough D2 tool steel, known for excellent edge retention and wear resistance, with a Rockwell hardness rating of 59-61 HRC.
- Blade Style: Features a clip point blade with a flat grind and a non-reflective black finish for corrosion protection and stealth.
- Handle Material: The ergonomic handle is made from durable, green Glass-Filled Nylon (GFN), providing a secure all-weather grip.
- Construction: It has a full tang construction, ensuring maximum strength and reliability.
- Portability: At just 4.32 ounces (knife only), the Apex is lightweight and designed for everyday carry (EDC) without being cumbersome.
- Sheath: It comes with a black hard plastic (polymer) sheath that is also MOLLE compatible for secure and versatile carrying options.
